Tree Counting

This process shows the ability to count pine trees on planted tracts. We use a drone to fly the property and create an orthomosaic map of the area where the count is wanted. Then, we use forestry analytics software to count the trees or seedlings. This will give the customer an accurate representation of what is happening – not just in a small sample of the tract. This process also gives the customer the percentage of ground cover to see if spraying or burning is needed. This was a two-year-old tract, and any age can be counted.
